    Forum structure update

    Hey peepz,

    As you noticed, forum structure has been slightly changed again:

    - inactive sections (Catalogues, Tracklists, Cuesheets) have been removed;

    - Frontpage Articles / TF Top25 sections have been moved up;

    - new members' introductions are placed in general chat subforum;

    - radioshows are split into two sub-sections and take less space on the index page now;

    - a new subforum for TF user tracks and TF user mixes has been added; Producer Talk and DJ Talk have been moved from Technical Discussion section (which is gone now) to this new subforum and are sub-sections of respective sections;

    - feedback section's been moved down, got its own subforum and been split into two sections: problems and suggestions.

    Happy browsing!

    Wrote a review of a trance release ?

    I find the technical sections a hard to get used decision to put them as subforums in download related sections.
    Plus seeing them as subforums gives the idea that they are not important here and make them hard to find. At first I also thought they were deleted.

    Is producer and dj chats not something for the section named "music related chat" ?? DJ and producer talk is music related chat no?

    Trancefix Member-generated Content

    Should also have the gallery when it comes to that section description? As most photo's are also member generated content. So yeah I would change the name of that section

    And classics indeed.!!! Would be cool to have a section where everyone is free to post their fav classic as single thread, including a Youtube clip to make it easy to listen. Im pretty sure many like to discuss older tracks as well plus find it interesting to check older tracks and see if they missed something.

    Puppet why not join the discussion when the topic is created and when decisions are being made.

    Now, after months of waiting, we change this, and then you disagree. That's a bit awkward.

    The technical discussions ARE less important. That's just fact. Way less busy / less topics / less posts, everything.

    If you think Gallery is "generated content" and should be in that section with DJ sets / Trance productions, then I would suggest to move EVERY topic on the forum to that section, because all posts made by users are user generated too. (joke to show point)

    And the classic section, I also replied to that in the section that you can see. That's more something for the "next to do thing", and not so much with this one.
    There's definitely room for something with classics, let's have that as part of the next subject!

    Sorry to hear that my feedback is dissapointing and maybe demotivating you man but it's something for you guys to decide no? If it wasn't then there would be a thread in public to discuss? Or did I just missed that one? Was a bit busy the previous weeks so could be

    Btw I don't "disagree", that sounds kinda heavy, just saying that IMO it can be done slightly different, take it easy I mean there are thousands of opinions here so no stress right.

    Happy to see you guys are still putting the effort in changing/improving. It means the motivation and caring is there, and the result will follow automaticly :-)

    Btw I see a huge traffic increase when I release photo's for Lumi, many people seem to be interested in them and also like to discuss them. I still believe that having event photo's would be a great addition to this forum/website (frontpage). Photographers could receive free entrance (=win), events getting more promotion (=win), TF will get more traffic (=win) etc.
    The same could be for event video's. Especially if you sort them well and have a nice layout.

    Oh and I find it confusing to have the recent changes not written in the first post. Having them announced in a seperate thread/announcement would be more clear. sorry for the mierenneukerij :P

    Edit: oh, and explaining why changes were made makes it easier for people to understand things.
    Saying "this is a standard reply on changes" is cool but then also make sure you did your best to prevend those replies :P

    Hope Im not giving too many negative feedback here Sorry!!! :-)

    Well yeah I agree with you on that.

    I also see what you mean, and you have some good points, IF done right. It could be something. Seems like quite a big project though...

    Video's of some events are interesting, as you have noticed, the Lumi Beach thread was one of the biggest ever. So yeah, videos and pictures of THAT event will be interesting.
    ASOT 550 too. Perhaps some other big events.

    But that's about it I'm afraid. I don't think people will be interested in seeing random video's of small events with small names. Just look at the threads in UR, they are already unpopular, I imagine a special section for event video's will not be that popular, APART from the big events.

    Anyway, going quite offtopic now

    It is for those who attended, and for sure for those who got their picture taken by 'our' photographer

    Who is going to manage the video's then?

    Do they have to be of certain quality? Who will check this?
