Yeah, I agree. The only two movies I've enjoyed from Zack are 300 and Watchmen which I both think are fantastic. Man of Steel on the other hand was a mess (like you said).
I think BvS contains an interesting story, but I fear it becomes too messy and too big for its own good.
Here's the new trailer from Suicide Squad:

I absolutely loved Man of Steel but the new trailer for Batman vs Superman doesn't convince me at all... Seems like there are way too many important characters, four of which that need to be introduced in this single film?! And Batman going against Superman doesn't really interest me either, Superman would obviously win with his godly powers.
The whole film seems quite ambitious, I hope they'll be able to pull it off.
Also hoping for another great score by Hans Zimmer, loved his work on Man of Steel.![]()

I don't they have to pull anything off to be fair... the amount of absoloute shit that has been comming out from the comic book genre for years now and they still consistantly break records at box office, it's risk free and easy. The brands carry it so well, all they need is a name and a premise, they dont actually have to make good movies anymore to make money.
Bubble has to burst soon I think. I predict both SvB and Suicide Squad will be awful movies with great CG!

That's pretty difficult to say I think. My highest hope between these two movies is probably Suicide Squad, but that's mostly because of the director David Ayer. He have made some great movies with solid stories. Zack Snyder on the other hand doesn't do well besides CGI. His best movies are 300 and Watchmen, both taken directly from comic books. I do hope SvB is good though, but that's mostly because I'm gay for Batman.

Yh Ayer is good I agree, but the production companies run the movie when the budget/payoff is this big. Why the content gets so watered down! To be fair I don't think i'm the target audience for these movies anymore, which is a shame cause I am still interested in the genre, but there has been nothing worth watching from it in at least 10/15 years in my opinion![]()

I find most Marvel movies today to be very enjoyable, but that's because I'm a big fan of the universe. Sure, some are better than others (looking at you, Thor 2), but some of them are also pretty damn great (Iron Man, Avengers and Captain American: The Winter Soldier). But, I must say I'm glad we are closing in on the finish line and I don't think I'll watch every Marvel movie coming. The ones I'm really looking forward to are Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: The Infinity Wars. I don't really care that much for the DC universe, but that's mostly because I missed those near perfect (imo) Batman movies. When Christopher Nolan took over that project I thankfully got that.
