    Id say it all depends on what a song does for you.. but, IMO you have to give it atleast 7-8 years before you can start calling it a 'classic'.
    An example would be Gaia - Tuvan, thats a TUNE! probably one of the best for its time. but you can really call it a classic, if you consider Carte Blanche to be a classic. The two cant go in the same category.
