The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies
Amazing conclusion of the series, really loved it so much. Simply amazing, so happy they made three films of this book. Such a shame this will be the last film set in Middle-earth, or at least for a very long while. But I'm grateful for the fact that we'll have nearly 24 hours worth of film set in Middle-earth with all 6 films and the extended versions. Going to be fun to do a complete marathon once.![]()

Interstellar.
An unnerving 3 hours of a sleeping pill with cliché dialogues , zero character development , a uninspiring mediocre thundering loud soundtrack, the linearly - flat -no- surprises wacky plot , boring cold, sterile and poorly designed environments , no WOW - scenes at all.
A movie that fails in every aspect to entartain me, grab me, emotionally effect me, make me dream etc.
The idea/concept of the film could be interesting but its executed very poorly.

IMDB Rating: 8.5
Director: Christopher Nolan
Cast: Guy Pearce, Carrie-Ann Moss, Joe Pantoliano, Mark Boone Junior, Russ Fega
IMDB Summary:
I finally got a change to rewatch what I think might be my second favorite Nolan movie - after The Dark Knight - this movie keeps on melting my brain. It is not unique in terms of shooting out of sequence, but this is without a doubt the movie which does it best.A man creates a strange system to help him remember things; so he can hunt for the murderer of his wife without his short-term memory loss being an obstacle.
Even after watching it 3 times it keeps me entertained and curious for what happens next. I really won't say anything more since it will spoil and ruin the movie for everyone who haven't watched it.
Guy Pearce does a fantastic job of being raw and mysterious and you're not quiet sure where you have him and what his intentions are.
8.5/10

Quite a harsh review there buddy haha!
I would disagree that the environments were poorly designed...I just think they were just poorly explored by the director. No focus on them whatsoever actually...I was also disappointed the film didn't go down this route and try and 'make me dream'. However i'd say they did very well with the visuals when faced with the challenge of representing time travel/bending of space...not an easy task, but they did it well.
Did you go in with very high expectations? I believe its over-rated myself, but not as bad as you feel. You're even more cynical than me I think haha![]()

Even though the movie was far from perfect, the visuals were one of the highlights for me. Agreed the soundtrack was too loud, and deafening at some points. Story wise it could have been much better without the sentimental stuff being stuffed in your throat. Anyway I've enjoyed it in the cinema, but not something I will get myself a BluRay copy when it's due.

Wrong choice of word there perhaps. The environements just didn't get me excited at all and I didn't like them. They were predictible, cold, sterile, unimaginative etc. Atleast to me. The thing about me is that I judge things about how I feel about them, rather than being analytical and logical, so that might be a reason you feel my short review was harsh. All the words chosen is more my feelings about it than actual facts I guess.
About the dialogue. A guy wrote this and thats exactly on point how I feel "The dialogue in the movie is nothing more than a series of expositional monologues designed to explain the meandering plot." The whole movie is generic and just feels strained and suffocating to me.
I must say that I find space overall quite scary and dark and the way its depicted in this movie turns me off. Im more inte warm, imaginative and guestfriendly to be in worlds, haha. I like our earth
A friend of mine liked the movie based on that he thinks astronomy, philosphy and physics is interesting and that he thought it left some unaswered questions to reflect on. Well, that doesn't make the movie itself good im my opinion. He just ignored all the content of the movie and the movie itself.

Predestination
IMDB rating: 7.5
Director: The Spierig Brothers
Cast: Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook, Noah Taylor
I have seen quite a few movies recently again, but this one i want to post here as well. Mainly as i do believe it will be underrated and not many people will actually see it, so i want to recommend it, secondly as it is one of those movies that makes you wonder about things later on.
I will not go deep into storyline and i dont suggest anyone watching trailer (i didnt), but its an intelligent, a bit slow-going timetravelling movie, all cast does an excellent work. As it is set in alternative timeline, it is also visually quite interesting.
There are a few twists and turns and although it perhaps starts a bit slow, after a while you will really get drawn into the movie. Although at least for me a few things were already obvious before the movie revealed them, it never annoyed me.
Definitely one of the best timetravelling movies i have seen
My rating 8/10

The Santa Clause (1994), with Tim Allen.
This is the Christmas movie of my childhood and life. I've watched this ever since I was a babe, and growing up I thought that the segments set at the North Pole were actually real. It may not be perfect in itself, but it's perfect to me. Hilarious and heartwarming, and one I'll always treasure![]()
