Put this in the wrong thread earlier.

    Eat

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3013018/?ref_=ttmd_md_nm

This had a pretty poor rating on IMDB but most horrors don't tend to rate well on there and as an avid fan of the genre ill watch anything with said theme. The story revolves around a struggling female actress who hasn't had a role for 3 years and the difficulties this brings with it. Facing an everyday battle to keep her head above water the stress leads to her eating her own flesh and it slowly spirals out of control becoming a cannibalistic-like addiction. However, don't be fooled into thinking this is one of those hunter and prey horror films. Its not. The underlying theme seems to be relating to self harm and lengths people will go to break free of their chains. Be warned though, its pretty grisly and graphic in scenes, particularly the final scene which if you are of a morbid persuasion, like myself, then it makes persevering with the full film wholly worthwhile.

Saw F&F 7 a few days ago and yeah that ending was something..
I think they went way over the top with the sixth movie and they continued that route with this one as well. But still really entertaining and the action is fucking awesome. 7/10
And regarding Paul Walker, always liked him because he feels like the ordinary guy who just happens to have the leading man looks.

The irony is that he's got something positive to say about an absolutely shite movie lol. Someone with the same standards as you have towards Trance but for movies would be castrating you right now!

    ***MINOR/MAJOR SPOIL ALERT***

It's even badder than the 6th. More fights (Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with the new addition - Jason Statham, + the chick fight isn't as nearly hot as I thought it'd be), more crazy/impossible jumps/stunts, bigger and faster cars, weapons and that helicopter/plane/drone thingy... Paul Walker is in the movie, but not as much as he was in the other ones (for obvious reasons), so Vin is in the focus. Absolutely no racing (except for that drag-race that lasted for about few seconds but was nothing special), pure action.

The thing about going back to "roots" didn't come to life. We only see the Race wars, Johnny Tran and Hector for a couple of moments, aaaaaaaand it's gone. Plus Dom's Charger and Brian's Supra (that is not the orange one from the 1st movie). One thing that really pissed me off was when Dom was thought dead, and Brian tried everything to make his heart beat again, but then Letty brushed him off, and started talking to "dead" Dom, how now she remembers everything, she loves him etc, and THEN he comes back to life. Oh piss off.

    but

    BUT

The ending was amazing. They didn't kill off Brian (Walker), but let him enjoy his family life, which is kind of nice. When you think about the monologue from Vin Diesel at the end, you may come to conclusion that this doesn't only apply to the movie, but his relationship with Paul in real life. I got only a bit sad, though I thought I'd shed a manly tear or two.

    ***END OF SPOILERS***

I can not rate it, because I'm biased (I loved most of the movies from the franchise), I don't like the big muscle guys fighting (and nobody gets a bruise) - I don't know what turns you guys and gals on, but it doesn't work for me, I don't like the big pile of impossible stuff, AND the ending is probably the best and most emotional scene of the movie.

Characters: Vin is, again, the Alpha and acts like a father (which I really don't like), Roman really brings a few laughs throughout the whole movie, Deckard brings a lot of fights and action (he's just like in Transporter, only badder), Hobbs is Hobbs, we rarely see Mia, I didn't even like Letty in other ones (except for the first movie), Tej is again, the technical mastermind and his and Roman's little fights do really make you laugh. Ramsey and Elena are not in the focus and they don't bring a thing.

All in all, you can watch it but if you didn't like the 6th one and/or you aren't a fan of the franchise, you can just skip this one. If you love action movies and everything I wrote above, watch it.

Furious 8 is going to be filmed (in NYC), and I think I'll skip that one. They should end this franchise, we all know it gets them $$$, but for god's sake who needs 453453 sequels getting shittier and shittier?
Saw this one aswell last night. Some very good action scenes in there. The ending almost made me shed a tear.

    Revolver (2005)

One of the rare movies where Jason Statham isn't nearly bald, and doesn't break bones/kill people. That, combined with the plot may confuse you. I liked it, but you might have to push your brain to its limits to see what it's about.

    Cold In July (2014)

A decent movie, but it seems as the story has wandered off eventually (the first part and the second - the last - part don't seem like they are from the same storyline - except for the characters). Just see for yourself.

Crank (2006) and Crank 2: High Voltage (2009)

Been watching a lot of Statham movies lately... In this one, his character is just standard Statham, what we see in almost all his movies. It's funny, there's a lot of action scenes, there's a lot of impossible scenes, but the whole movie is done brilliantly. First one is my favourite of the two, but even the second one was very interesting to watch. Most of the characters (even the ones not important at all) and gangs were done brilliantly, there isn't a lot of emphasis on effects and CGI, the plot is unreal but very watchable and made to feel real. I laughed a lot during the movies, and they kept my attention throughout.

I don't know, the movies and series which have a lot of interesting and brilliantly done characters (mostly based on stereotypes and/or very very funny) are something I really enjoy watching. Examples: Malcolm In The Middle, The Big Lebowski, Crank (both parts)...
