Lloris, Vertonghen (motivated properly), Eriksen, Adebayor (If he is motivated properly, likely leaving cause wages are no longer subsidised by City) all have potential to perform and step up to the desired level. I see real potential in Chiriches & Lamela if given time, proper coaching and a backline they can trust.

As for what you said about Townsend and Lennon, they're both average and sellable. Lennon hasn't progressed much since we signed him from Leeds, his pace and confidence are shot & he's never been able to cross. He scored one goal last season ... Are the former issue down to injury I dont know? Townsend needs an absolute ton of coaching to improve, he has some pace but is selfish and lacks control. He may be a late bloomer but he's much work to improve.

We still lack characters & the right strength but Lloris & Eriksen are potential world class players if managed right. I see Eriksen leaving for a top club within 2 years.

We've a better squad than Southampton, we've more quality and more depth than Southampton too. We just need the right management on that side and some real vision / patience on the boardroom level.
