The World Cup's been pretty generous to me so far - in terms of bets. I fear its due to come to an abrupt end very soon - and I should really quite while I'm ahead but thats the joys of gambling.

@Nangle do you have a horse in the race overall or are you just getting rich from bets? I'm for the US (of course) and the Netherlands bc it would simply be amazing to be over there while their team is in the last straw of the cup.

The solution isn't to force English players into top level clubs by producing quotas to meet. It's actually to train the players well enough so that we don't need quotas, so they can compete without any arbritary rules which lower competition levels.
We won't do that though, and we'll falter at the next World Cup, ring off the same excuses and look to the same 'solution'. The sad thing is others have done what they needed to around us but England seem to be blind. Look at Germany and look at Belgium. They've done it right and they took a step back. England seems incapable of doing that and to their detriment.

I do, Tim. I have Germany to win it outright but the large majority of the current bets I've been profiting from are made from betting on how many cards or corners there will be in a match, first goal scorer and things like under 2.5 goals.

Apparently 167 people over the world placed bets that Suarez is going to bite someone. One Norwegian guy won 3300 Euros, that's the biggest amount of money someone won on that bet.
