I think your friend probably felt the way he did for few reasons.

    - Takes some time to bond with the characters.
    - Story takes a good while to get going by modern standards.
    - If unfamiliar to the game style tactics and controls are challenging.

    The problems stem from accessibility.
I think you are right on about that. He didn't like the controls and tactics. I guess he's not used to these kind of games.

DA2 was disappointing though, imo. With 3 they seem to be on the right track again, so I'm very much looking forward to it!

Dont know what people think about FPS games in this forum, but Battlefield 4 is a HUGE dissapointment. Atleast the beta, but i doubt alot will change after it. CURSE YOU DICE!!!

I love both dragon age games, I hope 3 will be good since the developers are combining the gameplay of both games together

Just finished the storyline of GTA V 1 hour ago. I've never ever in my life finished a game that fast before!

Well that's just my opinion. You should definitely give it a try, regardless.

What bothered me most was that the majority of the game takes place inside the same city, unlike DA:O, which had a big, diverse world. Besides that the gameplay and story felt dumbed down to me compared to the first game and the characters weren't as memorable, imo.

    Looking forward to this:

After the downfall of the Resident Evil franchise and Capcom pretty much turning it into a shoot 'em up, the survival horror genre was crying out for a replacement. And this looks more than worthy. Ironically its from the original designer of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami. So it doesn't really come as surprise that Resident Evil started to go to shit just after he left.
