interesting point of view from you, i quit watching tv for nearly a year now and i don´t miss it.
the advertisements were the things that made me quit, i couldn´t stand that anymore, the illusion that is subliminal planted in viewers heads that they need this and that AND the miserable quality of european productions.... (except documentaries etc.)

at work i had a few situations where a colleague tells us what spot he saw and everybody knows it, and laughs, except me - makes me happy because i know i´m no victim of that "dumbumization" from the companies ;-) (and i don´t think the things they laugh about are funny too lol)
