And I was considering to buy McAfee anti-virus lol. Actually need a new one @Darren. The Bitdefender website is apparently hacked, so I doubt that's a good option lol. I had PC Tools Anti Virus, but they pulled the plug. Any recommendations?

My advice? Drop Windows. I'm serious. Use a system which is not only more secure by design but one that actually requires you to learn how to protect yourself appropriately.

If you're not ready to do that look at freeware solutions on offer. There is nothing foolproof out there, especially when you can't see how they actually working but I would say look at Avira, Comodo and Malwarebytes Free to help out.

Prevention is better than cure, also looking at your online habits & security practice.
