And I was considering to buy McAfee anti-virus lol. Actually need a new one @Darren. The Bitdefender website is apparently hacked, so I doubt that's a good option lol. I had PC Tools Anti Virus, but they pulled the plug. Any recommendations?

My advice? Drop Windows. I'm serious. Use a system which is not only more secure by design but one that actually requires you to learn how to protect yourself appropriately.

If you're not ready to do that look at freeware solutions on offer. There is nothing foolproof out there, especially when you can't see how they actually working but I would say look at Avira, Comodo and Malwarebytes Free to help out.

Prevention is better than cure, also looking at your online habits & security practice.

I'll tell you why, it's because you weren't focused because of emotional distraction and you were thinking of things other than 'right here & now', aka the moment. If you don't focus on 'right here, right now' you'll continue to also waste good chances up into your 20's, 30's, 40's etc.

If you're thinking about the past or if your mind is in another place other than the moment you're not thinking about what you could be doing 'right now'. You're not living, you're just existing, distracted while your energy is being consumed. Put it to towards what you could be doing in this moment, for everytime you're thinking about the opportunities that did slip by, guess what ... some others do while your mind & energy is being wasted.

Yo Nangle, looking back now I wouldn't make some mistakes again - I hope!

Thanks for that horizon-expanding reply Darren.
So as long as i think about what things could be like in the future when I do X or speak to Y im not living in the now and thus maybe wasting opportunities that could be developed out of such situations?

Just doing it because it's the now is the master plan?

Ah McAfee. I know his type of personality. Some people I know are like him, it's rather psychopathic. They're functional but also a bit crazy. Paranoia, social weirdness, intelligence, unpredictable behavior, strange interests, quite successful but also constantly in trouble of some sort, and always with women, that are quite off themselves too.

It's rather weird for me to see how incredibly the same he is as those people I know. Very interesting.

If you try to control ("plan") your life, it's mostly because of fear of what could happen if you don't have control. But, control is an illusion, there's too much going on. You should definitely have a vision and a plan, but the plan should be a flexible guideline. If you lose the fear of lacking control, you gain control over yourself and how you respond to what unforseen circumstances end up on your path, both problems and opportunities. Accept what happens because once it has happened there's no way to change that, you can only adapt your response. That doesn't mean you should lead a reactive (vs. proactive) life, but it will improve your ability to react when needed.

EDIT: Also have faith in the person you are and your natural interests to at least partially guide you, so that the value of the essence of who you are and what your unique capabilities are ends up in what you do and create.

You must have been needing it.

Personally, I can never sleep to that time of day - in fact been even worse lately and it doesn't matter how tired I am. I wake up at 4.30 every morning go back to sleep for a few hours and get up around 7.30am. Its good if you have a whole day planned and want to get something productive done, but its a long day if you don't. I get really bad restless legs that don't do me any favors either.

The Sunday crossword puzzle over here, at least in the paper we get, is always a beast. It must have about 80-90 words. Is it the same with yours? I know you like your crosswords.

Dog I grew up with as a young teenager 14+ passed away today. Haven't see him since that happened & he's been taken to be cremated. Probably for the best so I remember what was rather than what is. He's been in very poor health for a while so hope he finds peace now.

    RIP little fella.
