there have been 2 major changes in recent years which clearly also show in this poll:
    1) forcing people voting through facebook has made the average voter base much younger, all those old DJs are losing in the rankings fast. This does not mean they are getting less popular, they are just not gaining as much popularity as all those new faces. I mean i listened to hardstyle in my early 20s as well, i cannot imagine enjoying it now.
    2) The new audience where EDM has boomed (like USA) has completely changed the face of this table and trance has finally lost its position as the most listened EDM genre. THis does not mean it would be less popular in its old "forts". I can honestly say that considering the amount of trance events going on, it has never been as popular. But if you finally get all those millions of americans voting, its really hard to compete with that.

Ooh GOD, Tenahsar, some kind of playboy model in top100? what a joke!
Also Bl3nd who? never heard of him and ppl are complaining about him on twitter and fb, then i tried to google it, so guess what?
I think you guys should need to wear some Chucky mask and play some shittiest musics on your set, so you'll be top100 next year! Dj Bl3nd is great example! If you are female, go to Korea and make some plastic surgery like Tenashar, and post some sexy photos (like boobs, butts) on your fb, and maybe make some cheesy mash-ups

At least, when I hear an Avicii track I always recognize him!

i think you can hear some hardwell 'signature' sounds too, but yeah i agree with your point. Its why i would put avicii as nr1. Im not unhappy with hardwell though. He's not a clown. Guetta or dash berlin on nr1 that would be bad....

Why is everybody on this board complaining on the results of a poll that nobody actually voted for?

I did, but I was hugely doubting to do it. Eventually I did it, but I now regret it. In the next years I won't vote anymore.

Nice to know, Adaro is doing hardstyle btw.

In some way nice to see some hardstyle DJ's getting up and up in the list

Some additions on the list of unknown DJ's:

34 Angerfist = More of a hardcore DJ and is quite famous in Holland for their long carreer,
56 Wildstylez = New hardstyle DJ and became famous in the last two or three years or so.
61 Brennan Heart = I thought he was a singer and not a DJ but he should play hardstyle then.
63 Gunz for hire = Hardstyle I thought
68 Dj Antoine = He had that one song on the radio, Welcome to St. Tropé which was popular one or two years ago but I do not know any other things about what he does.
    72 D-Block and ST-efan = Hardstyle DJ's/producers who produced some good songs.
86 Da Tweekaz = Saw something from them on partyflock which states they produce/play happy hardcore/hardstyle

So the list became more & more a list of new-age house DJ's and hardstyle Dj's which makes sense as they are the most popular styles. Some other DJ styles would be nice to be listed because in a few years the other DJ styles in this list will disappear quickly.

Yep, all of these are really good hardstyle dj's. Also Brennan Heart is a DJ.
Gunz For Hire and Wildstyles is more like rawstyle, but that's nothing more than just a subgenre

The only thing the DJ mag Top 100 really changes is the fee a DJ charges. And of course the demand for some DJ's, I suppose. But its poor promoters who book DJ's based on their Top 100 position and not their ability.

So, what Hardwell fans fail to realise is, that they have really shot themselves in the foot. They're probably half as likely to see him now and even less likely to see him at their favorite intimate venues.

The fact that a duo that only plays pre-recorded sets and uses ghost producers gets to #6, makes this list a big joke.
I guess being the "ambassadors" of Tomorrowland has its benefits

I must be the happiest member of the forum looking at the DJMag Top 100

Why? Because all the bandwagoners (Markus $chulz, Ferry Cor$ten, Above&Beyond, Mat Zo, Arty, Gareth Emery..) have dropped a lot and it shows that their strategy for attracting more people failed badly. So what now? Will they keep playing/producing average/anticlimatic/pop/Boring/noisy/bigrroom stuff? I guess so because there's nothing left for them, they can't move to trance because they sold out themselves too much to make this happen.

Also happy for people like Alesso or Avicii, who have their signature sound and their production skills are pretty good compared with people like Hardwell or Guetta, and their djing is not bad at all imo.

Happy because Armin dropped too although his contribution to mainstream, so he deserves that drop.
