Sometimes I wonder why or if people like or love trance, because there's so much better music, and Rock n Roll, especially from the 70's is so much better, like 10x better

Personal preference, though I do enjoy a wide range of musical genres including those you mentioned plus orchestral/classical music.

heh I mean, it's cool when there's an electric guitar sounding thing in trance like Carl B's stuff, but I still don't see why you would ever prefer Trance when you can just listen to AC/DC and real music, not just a bunch of electronic sounds. Live music is so superior. And stuff from the 70's sounded better, it's better recorded and higher quality.

Though good point about classical, sometimes Trance is closer to classical and baroque music. So if I'm in the mood for that...

    Yes, it does.
If Trance to you is "a bunch of electronic sounds", you should take a look at the tracks on my signature. You might be surprised!

I mean I can show my Mom some trance and she enjoys it, and then ask her what she think of when she hears it, and she says a bunch of people friends and family in a Tesla car, I laughed haha. (she also says she feels enlightened and it makes her day)

And then I tell her she was moved by a bunch of electronic sounds, then she got disturbed. It's almost like, we as humans don't want to be seen inferior to robots and electronic elements. I think it's more comfortable to like or prefer music that has live instruments, and "not just a bunch of electronic sounds"

Thats like asking why do people listen to rock 'n' roll when they could listen to orchestral or opera because technically speaking the compositions on that are 10x better. What emotions trance evokes in me, no other genre can. Its down to taste and what you seek in your music. Its what sets us apart from each other.

    It depends on the track.
You don't play, say, Spicelab - Amorph to someone who's grew up listening to ABBA, Metallica, Michael Jackson, etc...
You play tracks like Beautiful Things, Big Sky, Find Yourself instead.

I whole heartedly believe that Trance and Psychedelic could be the best genres around... No Rock & Roll track can give me explosive joy/euphoria but also at the same time a state of relaxation/clearness of mind/visual imagery. Rock brings out a different set of emotions, which is great (I fucking love rock) but they do not make you feel like a God or that you are flying through the universe...

    Maybe it is just me!
