I have no problem with the topic discussed in the article, but it seems more like a rant than anything worthwhile. Besides, the examples he gives as a contrast to the big-room are just as bad in my opinion and not to far away from the very thing he's moaning about.
People fail to see the bigger picture. This is just a small period of electronic musics history. Short-term commercialism that will inevitably breed long-term quality music. A whole continent (America) is finally catching up with Europe and although it has bastardized the scene and culture horribly, it will pick itself up eventually and hit that nice level of creativity and innovation many are so desperate for.
