Trance life = Time consuming ?

Im into Trance from 2009 until now. I listen Trance everyday, download, update my favourite tracks. But, Me and some of my friends always listen Trance sensation that is really time consuming. I used to think I should exit Trance a time, to live my life. Finally, I just wanted to share my thoughts with all. Does anyone agree?

I feel the same way, when I discover new music I always want to have heard the track trice over a few days so that the track can grow on me and I'm able to decide whether I like it. Then I download the track, save it, cut the intro and outro out of the track and put it on my iPhone.

Quite time consuming indeed with the amount of releases now.

Spotify is a great solution but I rather have my music saved directly so I can use it for mixing in Virtual DJ and Ableton Live.

If it's something that is consuming your time and you're feeling torn you go one way or the others. You devote yourself to it and try and make a career out of it or you pull away a little bit and turn it from an obsession into a hobby.

It is easy to become addicted and to have an unhealthy attraction / relationship with any kind of activity.

Haha funny thread. Trance to me is definatly a religion...ive committed some serious time listening, buying, organizing, mixing and just generally discussing it. Wouldn't have it any other way though!

You could be doing a lot worse things with your time so i wouldn't really worry about it as long as you're enjoying it.

I think If we update news music everyday, setlist, mixing really spend a lot of time for us :-). I've stopped mixing a time, and just enjoy A State Of Trance by Armin everyweek. I like to listen ASOT every morning with my sport or gym time. What do you think ? 2 hours - Sport + Listen Trance = Save time + Good health ^^

If you stop with trance you will still search for other music style, and there you will spend also a lot of time to search for a new tracks.

If you will stop to listen to music at all it will be bad for your health

Every hobby is time consuming or money consuming some or effort , the question you should ask is if you can afford it or not. I listened to trance since 2000, also been listening lately to rock/metal. I'm not into dj or producer sh but enjoy to listen to music and find tracks i like by times and also have invested lot of money into gear just to listen because I can. Is a hobby. If is taking time that you need form your life or priorities than you doing it wrong but otherwise is normal. Every hobby is same sh from casual crap sports/gym/travel/ dining to serious, some give a fuck others wouldn't give a flying to give even a second or any effort is quiet normal. Also if you go into clubs to follow your dj's you go for fun not necessarily a religion, just enjoy good music and people who spin good music. Same with metal/rock concerts, if you have the time and money why not. Personally I don't complain because as long as is not turned into a secondary job/ or something I hate is boring at last for me I'm good with it.

Well, I don't think so, Myself I consider trance as a very close friend that could be with me in any time. Also, it is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I have failed again. As a result, I can only quit Trance 2 days. Life without music is really hell.
