So there was a terrorist attack in my nation's capital today. I'm far from the zone of danger, but basically everyone in Canada knows now and the media is going crazy. A soldier was shot and killed at a war memorial, and presumably the same gunman was headed to the parliament buildings before he was filled with lead. The entire capital city of Ottawa either was or still is under lockdown.

More than anything, I hope it wasn't ISIS. Islamophobia and Canada going to war are the last thing anyone needs right now.
