Bad, but not as worse as I was expecting.
I found this reply to Armin on his Facebook:

At least it doesn't have a bigroom 'drop'. It's not that bad - its just a mediocre track melodically, sound and production wise.

No wrong, its a perfect representation of the genre as its being interpreted by the masses. And its certainly a proper representation of today's ASOT sound. My new tune is the first uplifting release on the ASOT label in half a year, that says something.
I'm sick of that attitude aswell. Newer "trance" fans think they're somehow better than people with different music taste. The funny thing is alot of their "trance" is basically the same as the stuff they hate on.
On topic: The tune is horrible.

I wouldn't say close mindedness affected trance music or it's image. Real trance followers have always respected other genre's but their love for trance is so great it border's obsession. Nothing wrong with that. I love tech house and techno, but I am obsessed with trance. That's what makes (or used to) trance unique imo.
Since Armin and ASOT started flirting with EDM, there's been an influx of new fans who claim to love trance, but lets face it, haven't the slightest clue what it actually is. It's sad to see Armin make stuff like this and play rotten sets, it wasn't long ago he was utterly unstoppable.
I just wonder whether Armin actually thinks that crap like this is "anthem trance" or if he just doesn't care any more

And I am the next one who abject this: as an antem, but certainly as trance.
Ok considered that, is it a good track? It has no structure, just spamming some sounds and heavy synths chords. No melodical line which catches the brain and the heart.
Totally off Armin....
Hmm....ten weeks away.
Y'all think I should finish the project I started for my own personal 140 uplifting anthem?
