Lyctum has done some good tunes in this area (he was showcased in a guestmix on GTG a few years ago for "combining the melodies of the regular trance world with psy" in J00F's words).
I can also recommend Stereofeld - an amazing, otherwise unknown German producer who has a brilliant and FREE album of melodic prog-psy on Ektoplazm. Prog psy with that unique a twist is unfortunately rare these days.
But of course, the king when it comes to the fusion of melodic and psy trance by a longshot is Whirloop:
^he's into swing house these days, but I eagerly await his return to trance. The amount of artists in trance with a truly unique and recognizable sound are so few and far between.
