Light Painting / The Unbroken is such a fantastic release. Amazing, euphoric, classic trance tracks imho. Hazem's style can drive my mind to completely different places.

Sadly, one of the many underrated producers of trance scene.

Really? When has this happened? Hazem has produced some brilliant tracks in the past years and his album Vivid from few years back was awesome. So sad to hear these news if true.

Yes mate. I've been following his journey over the years. Unfortunately it is really true!

I do like his Ampish tracks though. Let's hope that one day he'll do some trance again, every now and then.

HB is a little bit like Eco to me. They both has some unconventional ideas for trance, which is good sometimes, but somehow their tracks never seem to work for me. Its either too unconventional or combination of sounds that clash when used together, or they boost certain frequencies way too much making it sound disproportionate and unblanced. Not formulaic and and bang on like steroid trance but just sound unbalanced to me.

I personally think Eco is a much better producer and an artist. Love the guy, he's made a couple of my favourite tracks ever (and one of my favourite albums ever), and oftentimes I am just in awe of his talent. I love Hazem's work too, however it's not nearly as memorable as some of Eco's works for me. But yeah, there is some resemblance there. Can't blame you for not liking Eco though. To me, his is like "introvert" music, if that was even a thing.

Tonight Is Forever (the Martin Roth Edit) is one of my favourite tracks ever, and just listen to it! Everything is way too loud, harsh and unbalanced, but when that breakdown comes I really don't care. In his later works, he turned it down a notch and his productions sounded better and more professional, but I still love the fact that he's not too afraid of a dirty sound.

Would be nice to see them collab. This track is fantastic! Actually sounds like something that would be the end result of their collab. Love the break!!! The drums (and the climax) let it down a bit but it's acceptable.

It seems, his official Hazem Beltagui facebook page is gone now. Did he say any reason why is he doing that?

If I remember correctly(and please don't quote me on this, I could be remembering wrong) he said on facebook that he was tired of all the drama in the scene, as well as just being tired of Trance in general. There has been quite a bit of drama lately in the trance genre, so I wouldn't really blame him. Shame he left though. He was one of the most unique producers around.

I can quote this. I love Hazem's trance productions since I've discovered it especially through "Eclipse" and "Aurora" on Enhanced Progressive. Need to mention all of his amazing remixes too. So yes, I will miss him. His Ampish moniker is progressive house like any other, that uniqueness we are talking about is gone now
