I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey a couple of days ago and, at first, for me it was a bit dull. There was an interesting part with HAL 9000, but before and after that it was just somehow empty. The scenes are very long and simple. The first couple of minutes, when the screen was black and there was music playing, I thought: "What the fuck is this?"

And that's because I didn't get it. After thoroughly reading the explanations and interpretations of the movie, I was amazed, really. I'll probably watch it again someday. It's brilliant when you think about it, and when you don't watch it just superficially. However, I wasn't clever enough to realize anything so that ruined the experience of watching it for the first time.

    Get Hard (2015)

My friend said that this is one of the best comedy movies in the past years, so I assumed it's good and watched it. I asked him what are his favourite comedies, ever. He said: "A Million Ways To Die In The West" (which was a decent movie) and "Dictator" (which was funny in the first few scenes). That sums this movie up too, and quite perfectly so. Trying too hard to be funny to the wide masses.

Main actors did a decent job, the movie doesn't have empty scenes, something is always happening. The movie, at least to me, does provide some small laughs (to me, best scene was when them were arguing about IRA and shit) overall, and I can't say it's bad. But being one of the best comedies in the past years... Hell no! As much as the movie's plot may seem 'different', it really isn't, it follows the same pattern as the other comedies do (at least from ones I've watched recently).

As always, it's hard for me to rate it, but I don't think I'll ever watch this again. That's my final and most important grade, and this movie didn't pass.

    Insidious Chapter 3

The writer of chapter 1 & 2 took over the direction from the amazing James Wan for the third installation of Insidious. Have to say he did a marvelous job as well. Some amazing scares here and there, and of course the scenes in "The Further" were amazing. Recommend! @deeii

Watched Chappie on Saturday night. Great movie, loved it. Nice mix between some action and humor. Did not expect to like DIE ANTWOORD in this movie but they were quite the surprise, I actually really liked them. The dude is so funny.

    7/10.

Watched Shutter Island few days ago. Oh, what a story! Really loved it with that atmosphere. Been pretty surprised how it finished and that's how I like it.

    Fine, brainless action.

Have you read the book? After it the movie was a big disappointment.

No, I haven't. I wish I had more time for reading. But you are right, books are always better than movies.
    Because bananas.
