    ATB - 9 PM (Till I Come) [1998]

Probably like a good few of the newer generation of listeners, I was introduced to trance via this particular track. It was heavily featured on TV (that exploding turkey in the official video still looks hilariously bad) but got stuck in my head.
Much later I actually found out there was another 'Original Mix', released in the UK under Ministry Of Sound. Even later still I stumbled upon the Signum remix which many seem to prefer over the original.
    Anyhow, here's all three versions.

The Matt Darey remix? The buildup of that one is genius!

Currently I'm not a fan at all of what I consider being Eurotrance but that was indeed one of the pioneering tracks for me back then as well, still pretty good to listen to.

Never been a huge fan of ATB tunes, even though I admit he was part of my music growth too back in the years.

Btw, Matt Darey's remix hands down....never liked the signum Remix and found quite useless the Sequential One remix too.

I always classed this track on the poppy commercial side of Trance in '99 along with something like Alice Deejay.

I tried to make a remix of this on Music 2000 - its was shocking haha. I just looped a 3 second bit of the riff

I agree same as sylver, milk inc. etc. But i do not know why their songs (atleast some of them) was not played more on events like trance energy etc. Some songs are clearly trance. In today perspective
these pop trance somg from the past has more common things with trance genre than what is produced now. Tiesto alone played Ian van dahl - castle in the sky on party.

I don't find this one poppy at all. There is not enough singing in it. "ATB - 9 PM (Till I Come)" is a good example of Balearic trance. "You're Not Alone", "Humanity", "Hold You" and others are poppy though. Very epic stuff, but poppy.
    Human after all.

The version of the Sequential One remix from the BBC Radio 1 Ibiza Prom is brutal:

I never really got into the original mix, but the Sequential One remix is phenomenal. It's like a dark, more fast-paced version of the original.

For me it's somewhere in between. I find Milk Inc and Sylver (and Lasgo, Ian van Dahl, DJ Sammy) more pop-dance. ATB leans less on pop than those. I mean, it's pretty much instrumental.

I would say this is more on the lines of Darude Sandstorm. It's pretty cheesy (not a bad thing), but one could play it at a trance classic event, and get away with it.

For some reason I like Don't Stop a bit more than 9PM. Perhaps simply because I remember the video and it's some sort of nostalgic thing.
