It's not what one would except from an uplifting track like this. Nevertheless, this unusual combination is actually a plus for the track rather than a negative.

Yeah, I know. Just wonder how you decide if its ouf of place? Is it out of place before the melody kicks in or is it together with the melody is sounds out of place? How do you decide? Im not sure. What I know is that I like when a track has a noticable bassline rather than only a kick thats harder and louder than everything else in the mix.

    Im ambivalent.

Well, for me it isn't a positive, @Fredjan. That's just my taste. I dislike psy-trance.

It felt out of place in the preview that only included the breakdown and climax. After listening to the full track, it makes much more sense given that it starts off as a powerful tech/psy-trancer and proceeds to uplifting with a psytrance bassline.

Also understandable, though we might agree that the track stands out for that particular reason.

I can confirm its brutal. I tried it in a mix today and made a complete dogs dinner of it - plus it has a 5 phrase outro unlike the 6 in most trance tracks so its harder to get a clean mix.

WOW, the full track is massive! The track is unique, so that instantly gets a +1 from me. Then we have that wicked bassline and what a breakdown!!

Liking the humorous countdown-intro - like a game starting ;-D The A-part sounds rather ok, yet overall somehow narrow. Or is it typical for psy-trance? First time found it bit weird when the A-part was interrupted with the kickless break and then continued almost from there where it was stopped. When the game goes on, the track gets more little percussive elements and gets somekind of hard trance rave-feel (referring to the 90's here). The pads, female mournings and introduction of the main melody are really into my taste, then again the modern methods of rising to the B-part not at all my cup of tea (hastyness, pitching etc.). Also liking very much the warm feel given by dominant bass line mix. Great idea Ron! The main theme has lots of potential but as a composition it is somehow unifinished - missing variation and tone encolouring and more story. The speeding up part afterwards - somehow full of Ron's humor, isn't it? :-) Yet nothing really interesting follows after it. In general lots of potential here, but again a sample of trance music that really doesn't allow listener/ dancer to fall into trance but more important is to run from a part to another. Liking the fresh sound and giving the old, edgy Signum-vibe to it.

It's typical for that new prog "psy" stuff, but actual psytrance/Goa is way less narrow. By real psy/Goa I mean artists like Hypnocoustics and Cactus Arising.

I tweaked this one a while back to my tastes. A bit darker. This is a "cover" so, you know, it's not the exact same as the original. (All changes are post. Not a remix.)

Excuse-me but what have you exactly done here? It sounds more bass-prominent and at the same time somehow hacking. Like track's programming would be jamming. Some kind of effect on the master track?
