The long awaited results for this year's TrancePodium Top 100 DJ Poll are in! With nearly
as many votes as last year, we'd like to thank everyone who voted and helped us compile this list of the best DJ's in the world!
The results can be found here:http://www.trancepodium.com/articles...15-the-results

I don't understand how these polls can come out now? We have only just got halfway through the year, how can you judge who has been the best when there is so so so much more to come.

I dont even understand this trancepodium website, for most parts it seems pretty dead and abandoned, they got more fb likes though.

gosh, Aly & Fila have to be the most overrated Trance producers/djs of the last few years, always the same generic formula, promoting the same overcompressed noiselifting and still they are praised like gods by the Trance Community, no wonder why many people say Trance is dead, if this is what a genre with more than 20 years of History has turned to then i guess they're pretty much right, Trance really is dead.
There's still some quality Trance out there that proves it wrong but not in that horrid FSOE, WAO138?!, Mental Asylum non-sense, that's for sure.

Not to go too off-topic but I don't think it's as bad as you are making it out to be. Over-compressed and generic...yeah it often is.... but it's easy to take this music out of context. Mental Aslum/FSOE tracks are orientated heavily for the dancefloor. Throw these tracks through impressive systems and in the right environment, it becomes much clearer why the music has value.
I find them a pretty over-rated myself, but there is much much worse than these guys and actually every now and then you get some quality tracks being played. The following they have gives a good gateway into the rest of the scene, so it has a positive impact in my opinion.

Would make much more sense to do this earliest in December indeed. Very strange.

it's true that not all the tracks they release are bad but they're still heavily overrated and the music is just absolutely obnoxiously annoying, it serves no purpose to the progress of Trance Music, in my opinion, if there's worse? perhaps, but it's still pretty bad, in my opinion.

What I don't understand is that people want to vote their favorite dj's to number one. It will only raise the dj fees and as a result you will have to pay more to see/hear them play.
wouldn't it be better to vote for some shitty trouse dj's in the future?

Why? It's not the best DJ of 2015 poll, it's the 2015 poll of the best DJ. Big difference. In December there are already plenty of polls, we also have our own Awards polls and Track Top 20 poll. So have many DJs and sites. December already has an overload of polls. This period, right before the DJ Mag poll, is the perfect moment to be honest.
