DJ Fire ‎- Let The Joy Rise / Midnight In Beijng [Progrez]

Absolutely stunning EP. Think "Midnight In Beijing" is my favorite Laurent production ever. One of the classics I use to listen every month or so. That melody line is just incredible emotional , catchy and makes me want to visit Beijing! "Let The Joy Rise" will on the other hand indeed make me smile.. such an underrated EP in my opinion. Credit to Jurgen Leyers as well of course, but I think you can guess who's the mastermind behind this.

A pure 10 out of 10 from me!

SOoooo underrated and overlooked! What a fantastic Summer sound without being too bouncy or Housey or overly Progressive House-like. This is trance meets the 2005-6 ISOS sound meets the Airwave prog sound.

Not just Jurgen but airwave too but yes this is the golden years of great music. Cheerful melodies. People can not like fluff but this is pretty much what made music so great.

Yeah, my bad. It's actually now the Trouse era that's the golden years of music I forgot

Why do you refer to it as the golden years of music in general?

I loved DJ Fire's productions from that period. He's had some pretty sweet tracks, and some a bit more mysterious, like Himalaya, or dark ones like Diabolic.

Surely you can hear Airwave's input here, especially in Let The Joy Rise. It's my favourite of the EP, that melody is just sooooo careless, full of joy and pure happiness. Sounds like something he'd release under Lolo, Midnight In Beijing as well.

It's really mind-boggling how much help Laurent has given other artists - Leyers on his album Rendez Vous and Fleming on One Hundred Ten WKO. And that's just the stuff I've heard about!

Dj Fire was making amazing trance music back in the days. (With or without airwave)
