So about three weeks ago now I stumbled upon my biggest opportunity of the year: Dennis Sheperd's massive remix contest for his album "Fight Your Fears". I decided to jump in, and tomorrow I'll have exactly one month until the due date for submissions. I've taken down the base ideas for the two remixes I'll be doing already, but the coming month is gonna be brutal. I need to use all the Ableton Live skills I've acquired over the last few years and then some, and I need to be productive every time I open it now - no more idle knob twiddling. (Moreover I have to stay on top of my studies before I do any music things).

So this coming month will be crunch, make-it-or-break-it-time for me. Even if I don't win it'll be personally significant if I can finish these songs on time. And if I do, the payoff could be my instantly breaking into the scene (if all goes well you could be seeing my name in the Upcoming Releases section and elsewhere by this time next year). But I'm hopeful, and determined. And I haven't been this determined about something in too long a time. I can do this

    Wish me luck!!

All the best mate! Can be known which tracks you are remixing for the contest?

"Where I Begin" with Katty Heath & "Starlight" feat. Christina Novelli. I'm aiming to speed up the former and add guitars to it (a friend offered to play some for me), and make the other one into a lush, spacey progressive number
