It sounds disgustingly dated for a track produced in 2006 as well. Maybe that's what he was aiming for? Either way, the cascading lead and dolphin clicks are relatively nice but other than that the rest of the track is rather monotonous. Sounds a little like something you'd hear in 2 hour production tutorial video on Youtube from an amateur bedroom producer.

Well the remix that came along with it was played in ASOT. Not too bad.

I do understand where you're thoughts are coming from, but this is the sort of track that is more about the carefully picked notes and sounds, the atmosphere, rather than 'perfectly equalized beats'

I wouldnt call it a 'trance classic' though. I'm sure mister Aerium will agree on that one.

Edit: btw, notice the key change around the 7 minute mark.

I thought the track was very good. Sure, it could have used a tighter buildup, but its great atmosphere pretty much makes up for that.

It sounds like a true forum posted bedroom producer track ala Trance.nu hehe.

True it does sound poorly produced...sounds closer to what I'm looking for in Trance music tho than 90% of today though.

This Serenade Remix is much better produced.

But it lacks the spot on melody of the original.

Poah, currently enjoying this a lot.

I think it's not the best production indeed. It's a bit muddy. But it contains just a bit of magic.

Whoa this is stunning. Just love this sound/style. After 2006, it has just disappeared. To hell with the muddiness, wouldn't change any super-polished track to this. This has that something.

The only objection is that key change, I felt it sped up the track a lot and it felt too unnatural. A version without it would've been perfect in my book.

Serenade remix is a bit more serious work, but it lacks that something the original has.

I'd love to hear more of this from you @jetflag, if you've had similar stuff feel free to forward it to me. If you ever plan on going back to your roots, so to speak, just know you'll make a lifelong fan.

God, Stop digging up my first tunes, they're embarrassingly bad produced I didn't even know what a compressor was for back in the day or how to mix at all

All i knew was how to craft melodies
