M.I.K.E. Push - Modus [Coldharbour Recordings]

It's not meaningless (increasing the bpm), sometimes it just gives a track that extra edge and rawness that I for one miss a lot. I think the melody is awesome. I really like the track, but there is a thundering roll that I crave. As said above, not really coldharbour sounds so probably why.

The melody certainly doesn't grasp me... I find it to be rather transparent actually. M.I.K.E. is incredibly hit and miss at the moment. Im all for variation but i think he's experimenting with too many different sounds/styles at the moment and each is suffering because of this.

Needs to be at a higher bpm! It all sounds too pedestrian at this pace

Totally unrelated to this track but just read an interview with JOOF and he mentioned that M.I.K.E. made a track for his label in proper old school fashion, and it's confirmed that it's not Modus.

Wether Coldharbour will let MIKE release something faster and uplifting in nature is debatable, but after all Markus signed two Suckley remixes to the label. I think with the launch of the new JOOF label aimed at deeper trance, the old Push sound will fit very well.

Listening to this again,still love that melody - but it is screaming out for more agressive synths in the main part and huge pads. Everything is too tame and soft. If i get hold of the MIDI sometime i will make into a spacey monster.
