    Sasha - Xpander [1999]

To celebrate the new album by Sasha I'm posting one of my all time favorite tracks - the timeless classic Xpander which doesn't just include this track, but also tracks like Belfunk, Rabbitweed and Baja

Never listening to this track. I find it quite flat.

Really a fan of the original Xpander. Would love to hear more tracks like that one. One example is Perception by Cass&Slide, which might just be my favourite of this particular style.

Calling Xpander flat may be one of the most ludicrous comments i've ever had the misfortune of reading, but each to ones own. Xpander was miles ahead of its time. A well mapped track with vast amounts of intricacy and euphony. Xpander had no borders. I feel for the other trio of tracks on this EP because they are also great and had they featured on any other EP they would have held their own respectability.

Xpander is for me one of the best tracks ever, it's just so freaking dynamic. It's a classic EVERYONE should listen to. And it's amazing how modern it sounds, and it was released all the way back in 1999. Legendary.

If I say this to be the most legendary Trance EP, would someone kill me?

Don't get me wrong, I just wanna stress out the hard-work Sasha did in setting up such an amazing 4-tracks EP where every single track is just awesome. Xpander obviously stands out but it would be a pity not understanding how beautiful are all the other tracks, especially Belfunk, which may sound less "complex" than Xpander but it has a fantastic long build up that brings you into the heart of the tune: pure bliss.

    Bump. Again.

I listened Xpander while I was on my way to work and it is one of THE classics for me. One of the main cornerstones for my musical evolution. Even though I am really fond of this Global Underground sound from this era, I think this track sounds surprisingly fresh and it really has stood well against the test of time.

But the main thing I came here is that I listened Rabbitweed after a really long time. Really love this breaks track:

I Always mix up Xpander with Netherworld (Oliver Prime Remix)

    Lolo - Why?
    Kamaya Painters - Wasteland
    Joker Jam - Innocence
Airwave - People Just Don't Care

Melodies are very much alike, it's some sort of universal template. Ralphie B - Massive is another one in which you hear it. However, this one is not so similar to Xpander in style.

My phone rings with this tune. I am using this version, because I find it more appropriate for a ring tone.
