Can a mod lock this thread please? We have the answers..
It's not about me being happy, I just try to show that Nangle had a legit objective point which was on par with the topic. That's all.
I see no need to lock this topic?
If you are free in your dreams, then why don't you go to places you always wanted to go?

The guy is an ostentatious prick, but he is also a marketing genius and one of the most talented electronic artists of the last decade.

deadmau5 isnt all that talented. hes ok on the production side of things, but you are kinda milking his talents.

deadmau5 made an impact on the scene, though it was a negative one.

Not really. What he does very few producers nowadays do - even the most succsefull of those. There is a litt le more to him than a computer and genreal underdstanding of musical theory.

Kinda agree, like his music, but yeah, he kinda popularized the electroish sound even more (and it was already rising). Plus, he helped developing the stuff which people would call "progressive house" later, almost completely replacing the real prog sound.

But didn't Robert Miles do the same to trance music?

I think when it comes to melodies, at least in trancemusic, Aly & Fila are doing a massive job.
