    question about Chord inversion

hey guys, have a question if anyone will be able to help me:

let's say I'm inverting an A minor chord
so instead of starting with the basic A C E chord so the first note here is A
    I'm inverting it to: E A C
now I want to make a bassline, should I start with the "E" key or with the "A'' key?
hope this question is clear enough!
    thanks!

I'd say A, because it's still an Am chord.
