This whole album just oozes with pretentiousness. From the artwork, the song titles, and the music.

Are those time stamp signatures right? Are some of these tracks really only 30 to a minute long? WTF?

No, they're micro-movements to three individual tracks
The track Artifacture is 19 minutes for instance. Check the YT link earlier in the thread.

I thought so. It looked weird with those time signatures.

Know what album this is part off? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks a lot. I wish he stuck with this sort of stuff rather than the commercial shite. He is a much better producer when he makes this sort of stuff than his recent works.

His post-1990s work isn't for everyone (and isn't for him to make anymore, as he described in the post I linked). But I beg to differ about being a better producer back then - in the time since he's set (and broken) a GWR, released highly acclaimed-plugins, written an entire sound in a computer language, and many other things.

With me, all that matters is that his penchant for musical freedom inspires me. He dabbles in many genres - some a bit more successfully than others - but he does it all with a passion and youthful energy that inspires me to reach similar places.

The thing I love about BT whether its Trance or not is the fact that he is a true pioneer in the Electronic Music scene. From the way the music is made to the way its heard, he's had a hand in it all. I personally love this kind of stuff from him, just shows his true versatility. Not too many people can switch genres and produce what they want rather than what is expected from them.

I just listened to Indivisim all the way through, and all i could think of was WTF?!

Why does BT have to be so weird and abstract, this is album is definitely not for me. I can't even say whether it is good or bad because i dont even know what IT is. I have no idea what to make of it.

I miss A Song Across Wires already...Skylarking is a true trance classic. Wish BT would return to making excellent tunes like that. I know he is extremely talented and has the ability to put out some amazing trance like The Thrillseekers. He has just chosen to explore electronic music in a very peculiar way.

Actually he often gets credit for TBU, but he had a lot of help from that album. Infact a lot of the work was done Brian Trifon who is part of Trifonic.

I know, but that doesn't detract from his overall skill IMO. And Brian Trifon in turn picked up techniques from him too (on that note I'm pretty sure Trifonic is just his own project tho. Don't think Laurence Trifon has been a part of it since their first album). Add Matt Lange, Porter Robinson and others.
