Nice melody, not a fan of the production.

Yes, Sean Tyas wrote some time ago that Robert will be an important person for Degenerate Records.

Some major news for all you real trance enthusiasts out there.. Degenerate Records is thrilled to announce the signing of Activa on an exclusive basis to the label. In former years Activa paved the way for so much of today’s sound with his pioneering and cutting edge music. Often imitated and yet never successfully replicated, this man’s tracks have stood the test of time and still sound as fresh today as they did when first released. Delve into his discography and you will come face to face with a list of hit after hit of massive titles and now Degenerate is thrilled to be the platform that Activa joins as he returns to inject more genius music into trance’s fast flowing bloodstream.

After his show stopping set at this year’s Luminosity Events Beach Festival and the myriad of gushing reactions he received thereafter, Activa has decided to answer those calls with some high quality releases and possibly the odd live appearance.

Strap in tight, because you’re about to get educated. Welcome back the absolute legend - Activa!

It's the opposite for me. Activa's production quality has always been quite solid, here i think the melody isn't as strong as it could have been. Also sounds way too similar to Reflect by Simon Bostock (having said that, Activa did lend a helping hand on that track). It's alright for a comeback, expected more from him.

The same. The production is great but the melody is a let down. I'll wait to hear the full track though

Let's be positive here guys this man has returned after several years, I bet a lot of people expected Activa to change his roots to Psy kick due to current trend & label in question (Plus the fact he was testing out psy stuff just before pulling Vincent de moor), but in this preview, I can clearly hear the clarity, trance kick and claps along with all his new production skills, quality has vastly improved also over the years , atmosphere is definitely present and melody is 8.3/10 the only thing he could improve up would be tempo/bpm, like Daysleeper recently said something like "Good track in wrong costume" honestly didn't expect this from Degenerate Label & Activa in 2017 especially, This is merely a start.. I reckon he's gonna easily manage Beatport Top 10 over the coming months.

Btw Ottaviani/Miller style plucks really suits his sound. Activa plz don't disappear again if you're reading this!!

    Edit:
The main thing is, I could easily guess it's an Activa track if I were to take a blind test, that alone means a lot! Activa has certainly held up to his 'Signature sound' or much beloved 2008 Era's 'Classic Trance sound' in this Trance 2.0 return.

I actually like this very much, even the melody Sounds like a typical Ottaviani / Activa melody

I never really understood why Activa became such a "big thing", I seriously can't recall a single track by title from him, let alone to actually remember how they sound. I always thought his stuff was a bit generic and too much on the "banging" side of trance, but I guess he pioneered and ghost produced a lot of the stuff in this genre. Can anyone proof me wrong and post some quality Activa tracks here I might have missed?
