A great, groovy track. That supersaw wasn't really necessary, I'd rather prefer if he had kept it more groovy rather than mix it up with an element which doesn't really belong.

Honestly I think Arnej sucks most of the time. He just sits and pulls and drops sounds in fl studio. Hes not a real credible producer/musician. Just a trance music fan that happens to have some tools to make music and got lucky.

This track feels unplanned, random. Theres no real intention, thought or personal touch to t/his track/s. He had a strong opinion about the scene but nothing of that resulted in anything worthwhile musicwise.
Where is the music in todays "trance"?

Pretty harsh comment about Arnej there, I don't enjoy his latest stuff either but tracks like "People Come, People Go", "Tomorrow Never Comes" and "Strangers We've Become" and such definitely aren't bad. I especially love the last one.

That's way too harsh imo. Arnej might not be the most exciting producer, but he's definitely not the worst, nor deserves much blame from the shitstate of "trance". The biggest problem is that he's still catering for Armada and hanging on Armin's nuts. I was just listening to the tracks played on ASOT yesterday, and this isn't even close being the worst one, that's how fucking bad it was. That new Andrew Rayel track (remix) jesus christ. At least he took a shot with this track and tried something unique (even if it didn't quite work out).

And what does FL Studio have to do with anything? If anything Logic Pro is the worst. Ironically there aren't much loops in fruity loops, but Logic Pro has a huge library of apple loops that you just drag to the timeline and they automatically sync to your bpm and song key, you can be a complete tonedeaf and still make a credible track with apple loops.

I think Arnej was his best when the slower 130bpm progressive trance sound was more popular.

Not my cup of tea this track, but this label is also recognizable these days for a lot sad releases. Love the oldskoolvibe in it,but Arnej can do so much better.

Trance right now is an akward and weird stage isnt it? Its like we're back in a learning stage again with many producers because theres a hell lot of inconsistency and overall low quality in a large plethora of *artists* works. Maybe some ideas are novel in a way, but the experimenting with sounds seems like something they dont do anymore. Its more like throwing in sounds on the fly and in very rushed manner with a track that has no consistent theme or solid progression.

I really like the build and breakdown, but the main part doesn't fit at all and sounds kinda cheap. If only he'd continued the vibe from the earlier parts, this could have turned out a lot better.

I agree "Tribal Affair" sounds empty and a bit amateurish.

But I don't agree Arnej is not a capable producer. I love almost everything this guy made before the year 2012 (then quality of his tracks went rapidly down, of course). If I put my hands into my own production one day he will be my huge inspiration. His apocalyptic, melodramatic and orchestral intros and breakdowns are something I found really unique in trance music so I think it's not fair to blame him from any credibility. As @Daysleeper said many times before he's not the only one who just slightly forgot about how to make a good music nowadays

A little too harsh if you ask me. Its far from being his best work, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable. From 2008-2012 he was bringing some amazing tunes to the table. I do think that maybe he could have worked on this for a little longer, but the overall idea behind this isn't bad, and could actually work well with a rework, or a remix.

I'm a huge fan or Arnej especially with his 8 wonders alias and has done some amazing works that still i'm listening!
As for this one yes i agree with the above comments it is not one of his best works but still much better than the most progressive trance stuff out there for now and after listening a couple of time started to like it!!! hope
he will make more staff as 8 wonders soon!

I agree with almost everyone on this thread, Arnej is only big words the last years. But unfortunately only words... Absolutely NOTHING special on this tune, empty, amateurish , generic sounds, sad, especially for those who remember the old 8wonders - Arnej tracks
