Oh my god when will producers realize that making music isn't just/mostly about making everything sound as perfect on big sound systems as possible...
It's ok, your music gets played live, but then again...it was played live 20 years ago too.
I get it, a strong kick gives energy when played live...I listen to Drumcode-style techno, I've been to some techno events. It's what makes the crowd move. My problem is that everybody is chasing the perfect-sounding (again, from a big sound system perspective) kick and bassline that they forget that the music was lost in the process. When musical ideas are good (like with Simon O'Shine/The Noble Six and others), the hard kick is a bit easier to swallow.
