"Oh gosh darn it, I'm unknown in the whole scene, I don't have money... Oh, I know, I'll just do what other people do, and what some random guy from the YouTube tutorial said. That ought to make me stand out!"
There is always a place and an audience for innovators in music. Otherwise we'd still be playing with sticks and stones and listening to the mosquitoes or something.
I kinda agree with you one some points though, but you're taking it too far. I understand, if something is popular, it must mean it's causing some emotions or whatever in a lot of people. Some of us aren't one of those and prefer to enjoy music at their home, without losing their hearing until the breakdown. We just feel disappointed that that thing has been recently taken away from us.
What's strange is, I had a listen to some of your tracks on SoundCloud, and the kick is actually ok (Sleepless and Dahlaven - musically not my thing but I believe the kick-bass-percussion combo was dealt with nicely). TBH the only type of kicks I have issues with are the uplifting ones. They just ruin and overshadow everything. But from what I've heard you're not that type of producer so I don't know why you've taken such a defensive stance.
I still stand by everything I've said though. It's important for the track to sound good, no doubt about it. But the musical stuff should be the priority.
