I like the sound of the first single. I suspect the album will be more big roomy.

Yeah, I'm not really all that hopeful for any Pre 2013 Orjan. The first single is actually a pretty nice laid back mainstream track I could groove to. Still not Trance though. Hoping there are some Trance surprises on the album(Besides the ones we know).

Same. I am however hoping he finally starts to do more DJ Governor stuff after this album. Maybe he'll pull an M6,and do a marathon of more uplifting/faster paced stuff for a while after this album.

As a longtime Orjan fan I of course am curious about this one.

Given the old albums, there is probably some trancy tracks to be found on here. His latest singles were a bit weaker than before, but let's see!

Million Miles Away is a nice track, enjoyed it. Think it would benefit from some small arrangement tweaks but otherwise very enjoyable.

How you can be fan of him.... After 'La Guitarra and LoversLAne' it went downhill very fast. Only into bigroom/edm the last couple of years. But hey, taste differs.

Id say after 2012 is when he really went downhill. Though he has had a few decent tracks as of late(Iconic, Hi There Radio, his track with R-Lend). Just wish he'd finally drop the big room sound once and for all, or at least cut back on it.

So let's have a look since La Guitarra (2008) and Lovers Lane (2010). All these come after those:

Go Fast! > Well, powerful stuff, centered around that dark bassline. Deffo not EDM.
Between The Rays > This can be considered as a new-gen trance classic.
Legions > Very energetic melodic stuff. Nothing to do with EDM still. (Just as Lucky Strike, Viking, Amsterdam)
Violetta > Still the same energetic melodic Orjan-music. A very good one as well (2013 meanwhile).
You Will Never Be > From his second album. Another solid trancer.
The Late Anthem > Quite unique sounding, groovy bass, big melody. Deffo trance.
Los Capos / Iconic > Meanwhile in 2016, still the typical big-synth-melodic stuff.
The Hardest Part > From last year. Quite soft vocal trance.

So think with those tracks as my 'evidence'... I've shown that your statement "only into EDM" just doesn't make sense.

Btw, you answered your own question: "How can you be fan of him" with "taste differs"

I like the sound of his synths, I like most of his main melodies, I like how he combines (not always of course) a techy/stabby part, with a bittersweet melody. I like some weird percussion or sounds in his tracks, like that vocal-stabby-thing in XING. Very dancable music for me. He's also a good DJ. Giving the track it's space and actually mixing one track to another. Smiling and happy behind the decks. A friendly dude outside the shows.

Well, Go Fast and Between The rays are likable decent tracks, but also from 2011. I dig them.
After that the tracks are def. not my cup of tea.
The Hardest Part is very very bad cheesy vocal trance imo, and this beneath is trash:

No curious, that's all. I think he's overrated a bit after a very good start with fresh releases in the beginning.

How could I forget these ones? They were actually pretty decent overall. I still wish he'd just lay off the big room for just a little while. As a long time fan/former fan(since 2006 with Red Woods) Id still like to see him produce some proper trance. His last proper trance release(imo of course) was Shades Of Grey/Pale Memories.

XIING for me was actually a really fun track, loved the ideas around it. I also find Tracks like Swoosh & Acid Reflux really fun and groovy as well despite being Big Roomy

Rodrigo Deem - Divo / Totem
    Codeko - Crusader
    Las Salinas - Winston

I dont like this at all. Sounds like a cheap version of some random radio 1 hit.

Exactly my thoughts. I don't really follow what's popular on the radio, but had i tuned in this is exactly the sort of tune i'd expect to hear. I don't mind poppy tunes at all, but at least have some proper songwriting and interesting synths.
