Enlusion - The Fog EP [Landscapes Music]

Down the rabbit hole. Way darker than what you would expect. The Pure Underground concept has never shone so bright at our Landscapes Music headquarters. Kind courtesy of the gentle, warm, intense and class EP produced by a solid and consistent producer coming all the way from the enchanting wild Russia, whom we've been proudly supporting for a while.
Kirill Smirnov has a treat, a special Progressive treat for all of us and we've easily fallen in love with its main music philosophy. The Fog EP will surely tickle everyone's palate thanks to its outstanding combination of rolling bassline, crisp and gentle grooves, dancefloor oriented drops and, above all, a neverending, sensational journey that will introduce you to the world of Moscow based producer Enlusion.
The EP is composed of three tracks, each of them with a solid character, floating melodies and deep textures all around. We truly believe The Fog, Nighthold and When Nothing Left To Say will reach your DJ bags pretty easily if you're looking for a pure progressive experience, combining House rhythms and Trance melodies.
Enlusion makes its worldwide debut on our Label from the main door: if you're digging us, then you will not want to miss our 13th chapter.

    Release date: 21 may 2018

Great release, Nighthold is my favourite. Would have liked more personality or musical content in When Nothing Left To Say... all the sounds are nice but it doesn't really go anywhere for me, just remains too similar throughout.

I like all three, though Nightfall is my favourite.

@enlusion, yes i wasn't really sure if i would put it up here. It's clearly borderline progressive house/trance. I never really know where one begins and the other ends.

I like it when this style of music is posted here, as often I'll find it more hypnotic and dream-like than most of the 'Trance'. Can agree with Marco though that this style can be pretty dull sometimes. Older progressive house had a very strong groove and rhythm that drove it forward, and/or a prominent musical features like chords/melodic moments that it builds towards. Progressive House in this style has become fairly monotonous and too brooding for its own good I find. Not a strong sense of identity or memorable moments. I do enjoy it when i'm in the mood but would like something more colourful and moving.

These track sounds more like tech progressive than progressive house. It's the style I want to go out of existence. It's boring. There is no journey in this style of music. None.

Sorry I don't mean any disrespect, but if you are a trance guy, why make this? Why not make something like this?

Every time I just open Ableton and go with the flow. I made a few progressive house originals and remixes as It's a genre I'm more into lately. Trance music that is currently released on good labels is template based stuff, I hate that, I don't want to be another Activa / Photographer or Daniel Kandi. Chances of signing a unique sounding track on a great label are about 0,1% as nobody wants to take risks.

It's definitely different but I like Nighthold a lot and the subtleties in The Fog. Nighthold is the only one with more true progression but the others are nice chilling listeners too.

but this sounds like the same stuff that Rick Pier O Neil/Basil O Glue and guy J tend to put out. Why not make it sounds like this? This is Trance at its best. There is such a nice journey towards it. It also doesn't disrespect the original.

Do you know that people may have different musical tastes?

You can't take criticism. Is it so much to ask that a track needs to be written logically, coherently, memorable, poetically or you know like a storyline like most music should be written like?

Mate just move on. Your trail of thinking is stale and repetitive. Music has many different shapes, forms and executions and they can all exist together. You seem to have this sense of self-entitlement that musicians owe YOU and must craft in a certain way and true style you have envisioned. People make art however they want to make it, it's a personal thing. They don't owe ya anything.

You also seem to think these things are like a switch and people can just go 'i'm going to make poetic and memorable music' and then they just produce it, with any un-memorable outcome a result of some sort a choice the artist made. Hello....It is REALLY HARD to make great music...and then on top of that you want it to be only in your vision of perfect. I agree with your sentiments (sometimes), but your thinking is too rigid, one dimensional and tiresome.
