It's eye-opening that The Digital Blonde, one of the best trance artists of recent times, is working at a minimum wage job. Yikes. Wasn't Laurent Veeronez (Airwave) in a similar situation as a music teacher?
Props to those dedicating their lives and lifestyles to producing music. I wouldn't do it unless if I already had a well-paying job.
Thats the sad thing about this scene - you can make amazing, beautiful music but never earn any money. Its an absolute discgrace that someone like Ricky is working for the council on minimal wage as he says.

Think I'm going to need to add Camaro and Zozy to my list of favourites. A fantastic pair to close out the album! Like listening to an electronic symphony.

This has been my go-to trance album since its release. Such a great album and I really hope more artists will look at this and get inspired.

Can't seem to start listening. 2 hours is pretty long to not do anything else; I love to listen to my albums without any breaks or pauses - it's to feel the flow of it.

Sarcastic mode? Rich didn't play one single track of Witches album (by TDB) also I remember.
Probably because they think it is dated production , but give me more dated production instead of modern production;-)

Just put it on while you doing chores. Or browsing the internet, gaming, taking a walk or while traveling.
Or as i mostly do, just play a few tracks and listen the album back2back later.

The thing that's unique about TDB is how he can switch from darkness to catharsis within a single track without making it seem jagged or uneven, but those dark parts are just way too dark to fit in with Pure Trance. I mean, I wouldn't expect him to play much of what John plays either, and JOOF and TDB in their darkest moments are comparable.

Had a listen to the album in parts. And although i'm not ready to pass my final verdict yet, the length and style of the tracks do not lend themselves to listening in one go. Probably best to listen a few tracks at a time to have an idea what's it about.

Well, my gaming means clearing some rooms in ArmA 3 (so I need my hearing) for like 30 minutes and that's it. So gaming is a no-go. The thing about browsing the web is that just when I play some set or an album, someone seems to know that and sends me a few videos that I just must watch. Chores nah, taking a walk nah, traveling nah... Nothing takes 2 hours.

So I guess I'll just try yours and @PeenutsDx's approach. Few tracks at a time. Will kill the flow but at least, if it's that good, it'll brighten more than just one day.

I dont think Solarstone has any boundaries of what darker stuff he wont play,as any DJ shouldnt have. But i wouldnt even class DB as that dark compared to other tracks ive heard over the years.

For now it beats commercial compilations like, In Search of Sunrise 14, A State Of Trance, Ibiza and WeArmada Ibiza Pool .
    That's a very good sign already. https://www.beatport.com/genre/trance/7

Making a 10 hour Blonde tribute set which I will post on here once done. I know Cliffy's done a couple of individual album mixes but like with Airwave, I really wanted to capture the whole ethos of what Blonde has been about from the start. It'll be ready by next weekend
