Push - Together We Will Rule The World EP

After long 10 years of waiting, the new Push single is finally going to be released (on vinyl), on 22.6.2018. Oh wait, its not just a single, but full EP

    01. Escape To Heaven
    02. Class Of 1999
    03. Wind Back
    04. No Borders

Escape To Heaven sounds like a decent trancer. Something similar you would expect from MIKE under his current MIKE Push moniker on FSOE for example. The melody has somewhat strange progression but all in all a good one

Class Of 1999 is by far the best out of these 3. It has the sound, which really reminds the year 1999, plus a much better anthem-like melody. Yummy!!! This one I loved right after first listen

Wind Back is slightly deeper track with nice groove, a very solid one, need to hear more to judge tho...but so far it sounds quite massive

No Borders - no preview yet, but this one is anthem for Age Of Love festival, so it might be huge

    ---

Class Of 1999 is my pick, I guess this one might be big in the next few weeks

Here is one half of the booklet MIKE posted i as a hint, but we already know

You can listen to samples of first 3 tracks here:

This is why I check tracefix everyday, to find out such new music. It sounds good so far. Hard to judge. The 3 mentioned are good, but not close to the old days imo

I'm glad to see tracks like these are still being made. Will most likely never reach a wide audience which is a shame

The closest Push has gotten to recreating the Belgium Trance sound. Looking forward to hearing longer samples

Much better attempts than any of his previous. Class of 1999 is nice but the 808 feels a bit forced there.

Samples sounding awesome. More of this instead of modern produced trance.

The EP sounds nice. I think Wind Back is my favorite.

Dislike Escape To Heaven's main melody. Too forced, to try and be an anthem. Missing a proper bassline when the climax starts.

Class Of 1999 more or less the same thing, but the production is pretty good.

Wind Back is my favourite, and quite easily as well. Though I have some objections about that one as well, the main melody not being strong enough on its own.

Overall: It still isn't quite as easy to revert back to your old style. He still needs practice. But it's encouraging to see him at least trying.

Great stuff - hes gone right back to his '99 sound, even using some hardware effects it seems. If this was released back then we would be saying its classic Push - but cos its in this current day its trendy to say 'oh at least hes trying but its not as good'.

Its obvious he can do it cos he's done it here, theres no difference. This sounds way more old-skool hardware produced than anything modern. So he isnt 'trying',hes actually doing it. Youre all just looking through rose tinted spectacles.

I wasn't talking about productions alone, because they are way better than what he's been doing for the past few years. I was rather talking about melodies. Because these don't catch me at all.

The melodies are as good though. But we cant compare everything to Strange World and Silver Bath.
