I like some sounds they use but not really fond of how they used them. Like they just thought hey lets take some random sounds from random eras in trance history and put them together. Also feels a bit too sterile In the beatwork för this type of sounds.

The rip is from a liveset hopefully

Really beautiful breakdown with the pads, guitar and female chants....i do agree the kick and percussion is pretty basic - it seems like an afterthought these days. There was a lot more creativeness in that area way back when.

For my liking, I hear the melody of "Above & Beyond feat. Hannah Thomas: Home" too much in this track

There is so much of every part of Trance that I adore in this track. THE stand out track of the last 10 years I would say, uplifting Trance wise.

indeed, it's a good production but still a "try hard" one as it copies old, successful ideas instead of bringing something new to the table.

I think it's a mix of both and there is nothing wrong with that. I don't see Uplifting Trance having much more in terms of new places to go imo anyway.

surely, better than most of the current uplifting releases. i favor that kind try-hard ones instead of dull, generic lifters.

Better quality and longer sample here.

Back to the track, wow honestly what a track. Probably the best thing Noble Six has been involved in. Can tell that it automatically goes into my top 10 for this year (or 2018) i should say already.

Kinda reminds me of one of my favourite tracks, Surrender. That dreamy, luscious vibe. Percussion is simple, but does it need to be more complex? I don't think so in this case, Surrender had a pretty simple percussive loop running throughout the track. The focus for both of these tracks are the melodies, the pads. The dominant hi-hats help the track glide along. Plays its role perfectly. Nothing more required in my opinion.

More so, the plucky melody is superb. I like the subby, churning bassline underneath too. All in all, a really good track.
