BBE - Seven Days & One Week (Yotto Remix) (Positiva)

    Buy: http://classic.beatport.com/track/se...d-mix/11056532

Positiva Records are iconic when it comes to Dance Music. For 10 years, between 1993 and 2003 as soon as you saw that logo on vinyl or CD in a record shop, you knew that you'd very likely be picking that up & buying it. Celebrating 25 years, they have commissioned some brand new remixes of some of their classics to bring them up to date.. and not remixes from the artists the label is more closely associated with these days... remixes from producers who will do the tracks justice & give them a modern spin whilst respecting the original track.

Positiva have always been a label who've respected their whole back catalogue, not just their releases after 1999... like most Trance labels / DJs & Producers do. It's refreshing to see because quite frankly, I cannot understand why DJs are so scared to play stuff pre 1999 that doesn't have 'Cafe Del Mar', 'Insomnia', '1998' or 'For An Angel' in the title.

B.B.E - Seven Days & One Week was one of the absolute trance classics which should never have been under rated but got lost because it wasn't released in 1999. Yotto has brought it right up to date, possibly going a little bit trancier than his current style but my god, what a remix this is. Very respectful of the original whilst giving the track a really modern twist.

Never heard of this Yotto guy tbh. Not much of a remix if you ask me. Still a sucker of that woman's "voice" though.

He's an Anjunabeats/deep artist. Released some incredible stuff - particularly his track 'North' which is absolutely stunning progressive trance.

None of the updates have been really. The Eats Everything remix of the Scott Project's U wasnt either but it brought it right up to date to work nicely in Techno sets for sure.

This is Yotto's finest moment as I mentioned above - what Trance is all about:

Speechless. What a beauty. Without a doubt one of the best modern progressive tracks.

I love 'North' but this one is even better IMO @Seachy_001 @Gagi

OK, my pick from Yotto's discography will definitely be this one, very groovy and melodic track

They are both great tracks but North is something else.. it's just so simple & yet so emotive.
