    no it doesn't lol

I mean, it is way less noisier than most stuff released today, but "amazing" is such a strong word

on the other hand, I agree that is pretty common to find old tracks that I used to hate and now I have a soft spot for them. Such as the cosmic gate remix of "this world is watching me"

Interesting thread. Will certainly post here once I have the time to think about it properly.

Fair enough. I think back then it was easy to go with the bandwagon and just dislike this type of tracks for arbitrary reasons, whereas now you can view them objectively. In my case I thought it sounded kinda cool; it even matches the general atmospheric aesthetic of that era. That being said, you are right in that it doesn't sound particularly "amazing"; this track was released early enough to still be hit by the loudness war of the mid to late 2000's.

I remember Super8 & Tab had a track called Fiesta during the initial Anjuna trouse era. It got such a bad reaction from the fans, and the Youtube video had more dislikes than likes that they had to take it down at one point and reupload it again. Now i don't think that was too bad of a track listening to it now, or at least not as bad as what people made it out to be, but it is understandable given that sound was the antithesis, both in terms of style and form, to the uplifting sound for so many years that preceded it. Most people including myself found it difficult to accept.

But I think the overall hostility to this sound also caused a minority of tracks in this style that were actually creative, to not get the recognition they deserved. I liked this Nitrous Oxide track and still do now. It's got a great groove from the interaction between the synths and bassline. In some ways quite uplifting too. A refreshing mix between trance, electro and house.
