Have any of you listened to it? It's not bad... although calling a 3 minute track "extended" is too far fetched.

It's just a preview so far But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the track was extended under six minutes in the end

So cheesy. No passion in music whatsoever. What a way to disrepect the original.

That's overreacting. When was the last time you listened to the original? It's not like it's some kinda of musical miracle. Just this breakdown part alone is more musical than the whole original composition. It goes a little electroish, but it still keeps it relatively soft, it's not like this is some pitchriser edm or steroid trance remake. And I gotta be honest the melody in the original always sounded a bit amateur to me. It was one of the first square blip blop tracks Moor did, and the pacing and note placement makes it sound like it was just quickly drawn in piano roll. A bit overrated track I feel, great vocal and feel though.

At first, sorry for my bad english. Just wanna say something.

20 years later, every Trance songs you listen "at this moment" will give you amateur feeling to you.
Or just look back 15 years ago, when people still use dump phones instead of smartphones.

You got my point ? Music is sounds which you created from so many unknow source. Ofcourse, if Andy Moor look back in his "Whiteroom" (2004), he will wish "I can do better sound" than this. But hey, he can't turn back in time.

Not horrible for TyDi standards (didn't even know they still produced?!), but disagree that it's better than the original in any way, shape or form.

The breakdown and climax are somewhat decent individually, although the transition between the two is awkward. Still not a patch on the original though, now that's a classic imo.

That wasn't my point though. The production itself is good and still sounds fresh(ish), I was only talking about the lead square riff melody. And if anything it actually sounds better now than back when it was released (maybe because I've gotten used to it). Back then that "sloppy" delay drowned style sounded like there wasn't that much thought on the note placements, which I guess is also one of the reasons it sounds unique. And I guess Andy's "Halcyon" is very similar, but for some reason I like it a lot more even though that pattern might be even more "randomish".

I never said it's better, I only said the breakdown is more musical than the original. Calling it a disrespect to the original and whatnot is kinda over the top considering all the other remakes we have these days (like that Greece 2000 "remix").

considering the absolute trash tyDi have been putting out, this is a masterpiece tbh. And yes, never fell in love with the original as much as some & not saying this is as good as the original even, but it's not bad.

Does anyone know why his remix of Without You Near never got a release?

Its not bad for an updated remix - i like the way the intro comes in - but i doubt that will be like that on the full length version.
