Pardon my French but they can absolutely fuck off with this "remake". Horrible.

    Whats so bad?

its not that different from the original. The pads and vocal chips see still there. A modern S8 & Tab bassline under it. I guess its ok.

Nothing really, it's as I thought it might be, just adapted it to their current style. Which means for me I wouldn't listen to it over the original

As others said, it's an ok remix, more like the upgrade modern sound to it, better for festivals, clubs and lives in general. Much like Airwave (21st Century Edit).

I will stick with original mix though.
    Murtagh - 8AM (Extended Mix)
Driftmoon - Please Don't Go (Suncatcher Remix)
Grum - Deep State (Album of the 2019?)

This version is just destroying it to pieces. It sounds like a person who hasn't slept in years, who is high on drugs and alcohol and cigarettes.

This I can never understand.... when people say a new version ruins or wastes an original! Why? A newer version coming out doesn't mean the original is deleted from history and/or people's hard drives, you're free to listen to it anytime you like

Don't like a new mix of a track? Fine, don't listen to it again and dig out the original

    Sounds wrong.

I find funny how there is a lot of negative feedback from this track.
Not even those who aren't so much "purists" enjoyed it. It's like a total disaster...

Also, high on cigarettes? I'm dead .

With the example above, what I believe doesn't fit, but in general we see whoever taking a huge classic, changes stuff and puts his name near it, using its fame/nostalgia it brings/epicness to bring a "successful" track to the current listeners, helping them to make a better name, more money, more happy listeners etc etc.

But give me a break. That's not ok for me. If you have the balls create something will live through history as a classic track. Stop destroying classics, just to add your current modern bassline and kicks and be able to be played on ASOT.

I don't say I don't like all remixes. For example I like Sunset On Ibiza Remix by Bolier. But there are only a few examples of remixes of real classics that have a meaning of existence.

(I don't even want to talk about when someone steal the melodies, produce the track from the track and puts his name as Artist, like Oakenfold did)

When modern remixes-updates like the one above or as Airwave (21st Century Edit), I don't mind watching them as new release even if I don't like the result. It's his/their tracks.

Nobody else should release steroids/modern laiser/bullshit, temporary remixes. Bring quality on the table or gtfo. Respect the classics.

    That's my view.

(btw guys, check out Anderholm - Flight of the Sparrow mini album!)

The point is that why is this remix even necessary? It looks like they just wanted to do it to stir the pot. These people think that by going commercial, they are going to remain relevant to the scene but history will wipe them clean. The faster they rise the harder they fall. But I come here to defend this beautiful music that means the world to me. I owe this music everything.

It's helping me fight depression, a crippling disease and fighting against a dodgy corporation that is involved in a lot of shady dealings, which unfortunately I have been trapped under and I am completely innocent, so yes it is my business. Doing it without abusing drugs or alcohol, so there! I love this music because it's always been there for me when I have needed comfort. That's what these so called superstar djs have forgotten. They are chasing a fantasy that does not exist rather than spreading the love.

So they can play it in their current sets.

"Why not just play the original?" Because they apparently think it sounds outdated and/or not suitable for their current sound.
