Trance classics played by Non-Trance Djs

Trance classics are well accepted and supported in the club culture, even at non-trance events

Charlotte De Witte plays Push - Universal Nation

Space Dimension Controller plays Ayla - Ayla (Taucher Remix)

I Hate Models plays Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid (from 9 min.)

Courtesy plays Kay Cee - Love Stimulation (from 35min.)

Mama Snake plays LSG - The Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix) (from 50min.)

This meme is gold! haha. I mean nowadays you have techno djs playing early 2000s hardstyle music even
Techno nowadays encompass of many early genres where they intertwined each other to what is seemingly acceptable at times. Its really weird come to think of it

i think its because the 'modern Techno' has more in common with 'old Trance', and there is a huge gap between the 'modern Trance' and 'old Trance'.

Look at the amount of Techno DJs remixing trance classics and not just the obvious ones.

Eat's Everything - Comatose is an incredible update on Coma B - Dance 2 Disco (Disco Alert) on Top Bananna. Bayer's been playing an amazing remix of CJ Bolland - Carmague recently in his sets, Spektre's remix of Y-Traxx, Pig & Dan - Losing Part of Me (which is really trancey - doesn't sample anything mind) and Tiger Stripes - Insane which samples Ariel - A9 and am sure the main pads / riff is from an old track?!

The techno-scene is what the trance scene was in 1997. It's about dancing, about having a good time. It's about freedom.
It's actually not 100% about the actual music itself. They don't actually all 'love' techno... They like the parties.

This results in a similar-minded crowd that is up for a great party, with friends, leaving troubles behind. So they are more open for a little (respected) trance track. Specially the old ones, as they are from the same "culture". So it fit's.

Techno has really taken over the greatness of what our scene once was.
