with Daysleeper. I like it, but it's no way a 10/10 for me. But really nice to hear something so different.

Wow, very special track! Sounds and melodies kept coming and coming! Wonderful, summery, chlling but also has these fun vibes. Could easily be played by Roger Shah too.

I will support this for sure.
    Murtagh - 8AM (Extended Mix)
Driftmoon - Please Don't Go (Suncatcher Remix)
Grum - Deep State (Album of the 2019?)

Yeah it's just a fun playful tongue-in-cheek song with tons of nostalgia. It's really a mixture of many different era's and styles; 1990's rave, 8bit/16bit demoscene game music, 1990's oldschool trance's organ stabs and sweeping reso-synths, late 2000's nu-progressive sound alá Way Out West, Jaytech and such. Motions is probably 10 times more hours of work, so I'm glad you prefer that one!

Thanks to all for the amazing support! Like always, zero support from big name djs (other than solarstone). Not that I'm bitter or anything lol but it's just funny how untrendy my stuff is. Here's the last supported tracks by these djs:

Armin -> "One Missed Step" 2009 (armada release)
    A&B -> "Anxiety" 2010
Markus Schulz -> Veracity (Tasadi Remix) 2013
Ferry Corsten -> Salt Tank - Leaving Town (Allende Remix) 2010
PVD played the False Memory (Smith & Brown Remix), but it's gotta be atleast 10 years until the last one.

Just listening to it in full. Man, you've really made all those influences work. It's not perhaps the most serious (/focused) of trance tracks, but rather a showcase of what you can do, a concept in some sense. Reminds me of Breakfast's newer works in a way - they too are a bit left-field, slightly experimental and not very focused on the strict definition of the genre (or any of its sub-genres). I tend to think of it more as a result of vision, which I appreciate a lot.

Now my phrasing may suck a bit, but this is no way a bad thing. I think it's excellent to have people who are willing to experiment, even if it seems it is of detriment to their career. We need more people like this in this scene. This track implements a lot of ideas and suggestions we had in the "How can trance be improved?" thread!

Overall, this is a very fun track, and I can't even remember a (modern) track that made me feel that way. Like, it really puts a smile on my face, when that piano melody starts with the breakbeat section. Nicely produced, short and sweet. Perhaps in top 5 this year.

I would love to hear more of these from you, although I wouldn't want to demand it. So far you had many different works and I enjoyed every single track I've listened from you. So follow your vision first, it's working wonders.

Melody-wise probably my favourite from you up to this point. I'm a sucker for uplifting chord stabs, reminds me somewhat of another Adam Szabo track (Arcade) that has loads of fun, uplifting and retro vibes.

Crazy - whats your theory behind this? Because you make some decent stuff on good labels...

No idea, maybe just a different taste in melodies or maybe my stuff isn't club friendly enough. Missing all those edm snares, pitchrisers and big drops that those djs seem to love. And my intros and outros aren't as clean as some would hope, so I don't know if some find them harder or more annoying to mix in/out.

Sorry for the late reply! One guy claims that the middle part of the track reminds him of Streets of Rage 2 music. The retro 8bit solo lead (in 3:30 or so) is really the only thing that's intentionally demoscene, but I guess 1990's game music and dance music had a lot of common. I bought a Roland A-01 module a year or two ago to communicate between bluetooth, midi and cv/gate, and as a bonus the module comes with an 8bit synthesizer that's just perfect for all the retro stuff. That's where the lead comes from (heavily processed though).

As for my own favourites and influences, I come from the tracker scene originally (Fast Tracker 2) and "Elwood" is someone whose work I've always loved the most and still to this day listen to. From the gaming side I grew up with NES so that sound (chip) is closest to my heart. Megaman series soundtracks probably stand out the most. I'm also a big Zelda fan, great compositions through out the series.

Didnt ask me, but best demoscene music is on Second Reality (1993) by Finnish demogroup Future Crew. My biggest influence on my career, started producing music after hearing it. Check this out:

Listen to the part at 3:25, those pianos. They have similar style also to this Allende track.

Check also out my tracker music for a PC-game Molez back in 1997.
