Noble Six is one of the only consistent shining lights in the current trance scene. Another really decent track.

Nice track but that plucked melody is a direct copy of an older track - cant quite remember right now.

Agreed. Just lovely, love those atmospheres. You can feel that he's actually taken an effort into things other than compression and brickwall limiting. Though, it has to be said, the main melody is veeeery similar (same pattern) to one from Fire & Ice tracks (can't remember which one). Still a great track, though.

Ah, here it is. In San Antonio it changes pitch, that's the difference.

Thats the one..not sure what to make about it being a direct copy of it - i prefer the Fire & Ice one as it does change octaves,as you say.

Well, it sounds like Chicane's "Offshore" on 140 BPM to me

Can he not come up with anything else? Almost all his tracks borrows from old classics, and not just borrows.

A little late to the party but the track that it reminds me the most is Flaming June (Chicane Remix):

I'd be surprised if it isn't influenced by it, the whole premise of a chill intro with that kinda breakbeat and similar start with the actual trance beat. In no way do I consider it a ripoff though, I think this type of influence is very welcome. That "San Antonio" riff is so basic, that you can claim ownership on something like that, and it's really just a supportive element in it anyway.

The first 1:40 or so is really good, I love it. After that it's a bit bland.

That Luminosity rip sounds pretty bad though, the track is already very crowded and all that ambience noise just kills it. But on the other hand all the other versions on youtube (even the ones on the official topic channels) completely cut the intro out. For Noble Six's sake I really hope they don't mess up and cut the intro off, or push the introless version more.

The kick is still a bit too loud and hard, but this type of stuff is miles above the stuff that we usually get. I just miss good catchy and/or interesting melodies that we really don't seem to get anymore.

There is so much going on in this track and still nothing is happening. Melodically a complete flatliner.

As with Mike Push tracks, it doesn't make sense to go back to ancient productions styles if you can't complement it with strong melodies and soul.

Well described. Spot on actually. Also why is most Noble six tracks, the actual release sounding like its ripped grom a live set and the mastered from that? The acoustics of his tracks sound like its recorded grom a liveset to me.

As if San Antonio was just a B side. If it was released today it would be top 20 track of the the year. We were spoilt for choice back then.
