On the right track, but still not quite there. Some good ideas, however as a whole I don't feel it being complete.

not quite there where? Its not a bad track, you can tell its Push and its still better than 99% of the original stuff put out nowadays. Im still waiting for him to make another epic melody like Silver Bath though..

Melodically absolutely lifeless. Also very thin and empty sounding.

I like the bassline, that's about it.

Not quite there, as in, not really as close to his old sound as much as we (and him too!) would like. Also, as I said, not a complete track, but seems like rather a collection of ideas. Some of which are good (I like the intro, with those plucks and the acid), truth be told. Ultimately, it feels like two different tracks, the intro and the rest.

I wouldn't say it's better than 99% of original stuff put out nowadays, just on account of M.I.K.E. being a legend of the genre and this being a bit different. I love the guy myself and I'm sorry to even write this, but even if this stands out stylistically from the sea of generic uplifters, this will be in no one's Top 50 list come the end of this year. Just forgettable.

Despite how good or bad a modern MIKE track is it still somehow doesnt sound good with modern production and mastering.

Some have been a little better than others but ultimately its one guy I dont count on anymore,or care for either, even if that sounds harsh to say.

His sound was for the olden days.

Pretty decent track. I will always give his releases a listen. Most of them are good and some are even on par with his older releases. I absolutely loved 'Class of 1999'

Bought the whole album, loved it.

For an FSOE release, this is probably the best M.I.K.E. solo track. I still think he needs to relisten to his last couple of tracks on High Contrast, namely Zenith and especially Analogy. That's as close as we'll ever get to peak Push in the modern times.

I agree with most of you that the intro and outro are great. That gated mid at the start of the break is as Push as it can get. Overall, I think there are a lot of elements that you clearly identify as Push, there's no mistake about it. The lead melody however could have been more inspired. It's mainly on the execution side where he's lacking the magic touch though it must be said.

When it comes to his newer productions, Elements of Nature (with Rank 1) was one of my favourite tracks that year - and also from both artists, ever. I'd rather he goes back to that if he wants to keep it modern.

It lacks something. But definitely a MIKE / Push track.

I'm pretty much in agreement with the other members here. An overall decent track. Better than alot of other recent releases.
