    Underwater/Tidal Wave trance! :D

Im interested to see other choices when it comes to this particular style.

The most accurate way of describing it is : Calm Before the Storm---->Tidal Wave crush!! In other words it should have a huge melodic drop where evrything just washes over you, exactly what a tidal wave would do with you, and you are forced to hang on and hmm, join the ride and feel the strong currents. And no big beat drop or edm/dubstep/techy drops here please.

    Signum - Second Wave (3.12-4.48)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7zZ6yT8AeY

    N20 - Salida Del Sol (3.30-5.05)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL_ob6yi7gY

Aalto - Taurine (4.37 - and a second time 6.00 kick goes off and short calm down before it takes of again at 6.27) This so brilliant!

    What have you got friends?

I see what you mean, but the style in above mentioned track kinda lacks that impact and energy of a tidal wave imo, haha. Its more open up the clouds and fly away trance But to each his own ofc.

Ha, fair enough. Definitions can be hard to... well, define. Maybe I can find something closer to your original description

Is it the same thing with most Smith & Pledger tracks? A bit too fly-away'ish?

edit: Oh, I see what you mean. You're looking for relaxing trance tracks that also have longer breakdowns.

I always thought that Sandler - Theme Song (Sandler Remix) had a "water" feeling to it. The climax is like a soft version of a hard trance climax and oddly relaxing.

    Fictivision - Ringworld
and Fictivision vs. C-Quence - Symbols can also be very solid choices for that "water" vibe. Basically, uplifting but also somewhat relaxing trance from 2002-2005ish will have this vibe. Their breakdowns are not too long, though, and they might not be precisely what you're looking for.

Not at all. It doesnt have to have a long breakdown, but it should have a calm-down moment. Do you consider Second Wave and Salida Del Sol relaxing trance? I certainly dont. Its not dj shah, thrillseekers, chicane or anything. It should have a fair bit of energy that goes into a calm-down moment, kick is off, elements fade and then you should be hit with a wave of amazing synths and melodies and bringing that energy up a notch. Just like a the moment when a big wave hits you, but maybe not in dangerous way, more like a surfer going along with it,haha.

The Sandler one might lack a little in energy but I agree the melody itself has that watery feel.

Water-themed track - isn't overly euphoric but takes off really well:

    My personal favourite takeoff:

Im sure you've heard of this, but this track comes to my mind whenever i listen to Taurine:

Hmm, you're right. Salida del Sol and Second Wave are fairly energetic - I had only looked at the breakdown that you pointed out. I think Theme Song fails mostly during the intro/buildup, but the breakdown and climax have just the right energy (though it's certainly less than Salida del Sol/Second Wave).

Fictivision vs. Phynn - Escape (Phynn Mix) sounds like what you'd want to hear.
