Madonna - Ray of Light [1998]

A trance/pop track largely forgotten. Ray of Light remains as one of the few intersections between pop and old trance.

I've just listened to the official remixes for the first time and to me, they sound more trancy than the original
What's your favorite version, guys? @Fredjan I will probably go with Calderone's Club Mix.

Correct - the remixes stress Madonna's vocals less and focus more on the instrumental.
I'll go with the William Orbit Liquid Mix, since he is the one who produced the original version after all. The Calderone club mix is neat (if a bit too prog house-ish), and the Sasha remix is good but not trance. :P

I adore Sasha's remix. @Fredjan Why do you consider these kind of breaks not to be trance?

You said it yourself. For me, breaks and trance are different genres, even if the breaks were made by a trance producer with a trance-like arrangement.
